Crocodile Dundee – Australian comedy film set in the Australian Outback
Australian hit movie that never gets old
Among the biggest milestone events in the film industry of Australia is the comedy film Crocodile Dundee. It broke the record in 1986 to become the highest grossing movie in Australia. It also became the highest selling foreign movie in history in the USA. In 1986 it was the highest grossing movie worldwide.
The comedy and adventure in this movie still make it a favorite for many. People usually rent a copy of the movie to have a few laughs at home. The movie came in highly recommended and has not lost its flair yet. It has a great mixture of the Australian outback and the big apple.
The inspiration of this movie was derived from the real life experiences of Roodney Ansell. It had a budget set under ten million dollars since it was targeted at an Australian and mainstream American audience but went on to become an international sensation. One of the main characters is Paul Hogan acting as Mick Dundee, a crocodile poacher from Northern Australia. He meets the other main character Sue Charlton and goes to New York with her which proves to be quite an adventure.
